Maryland HQL
4 - 5 hours - $75.00

This is a Basic Course designed for those who do not own a regulated firearm in Maryland but wish to purchase one.  Even if not planning to purchase a firearm this course is a good introduction to pistols.  This is a BASIC course covering safety and general information.  It is recommended all family members who qualify take the course. While the MD requirements are to shoot one shot safely, the participants will have the opportunity to fire more rounds than just one.   This course also satisfies the requirements for other states permits such as Florida which has reciprocity with many states.

Any full courses offered, such as Permit Courses, HQL, etc., can be done for 1-2 people, however additional cost may apply.

Our Course goes beyond just the minimum.  Some additional concepts covered are how to choose your first handgun, proper grip, proper stance, how to aim, how to choose the correct ammunition, and how to get further training.  The goal is to make everyone in the course comfortable and confident.

*With the changes in obtaining a Wear and Carry permit many people find it more economical to take the 16 hour Permit course as it also covers the HQL without any additional charge or training.
